Many Christian groups at University of California Berkeley that meet on campus are holding their last meeting of the semester this week, celebrating early Thanksgiving together with their fellow members before they leave for home.

For Thanksgiving, the fellowships are holding special events for the gathering to show their hearts of gratitude toward God by sharing food and reflecting upon the semester as they wrap up Fall Semester of 2003.

Once the four-day-weekend ends, the students will be entering a period of hibernation in preparation for the final exams.

One of the biggest Christian organizations, InterVarsity already held their last meeting of the semester last Friday, Nov. 21 and two other large organizations at Berkeley such as Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) held a thanksgiving special instead of their regular fellowship meeting and Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF) held potluck yesterday concluding Fall Semester of 2003.

Berkeley campus is well known for its liberal atmosphere where students are encouraged to either join or start an organization. So far Berkeley has 584 registered student organizations on campus and among them, 61 organizations are religious based, predominantly Christians.

God has indeed blessed the state-owned institution with many campus ministries allowing most opportunities for the students to receive guidance for their walk of faith.
