Bethenny Frankel on Teresa Giudice: 'You Broke The Law And Went On T.V.'
Bethenny Frankel, the 42-year-old talk show host and former star of "The Real Housewives of New York City," does not feel bad for her fellow reality television star Teresa Giudice who is currently facing prison time stemming from a fraud indictment.
Teresa and her husband Joe Giudices are defending themselves against allegations that they attempted to illegally obtain mortgages while withholding information about their income from their reality television show, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." However, Frankel insists she does not feel sorry for the Giudice's legal woes.
"Do I feel sorry for them? No, I don't," Frankel said in an Us Weekly report recently. "Not so much, because it broke the law. You broke the law and you went on television. That's not really that smart."

Frankel spoke frankly about the Giudices from the perspective of a former reality television star.
"My first thought today was, 'Oh, if they weren't on reality TV, none of this would probably ever be exposed.' And it's just funny how certain people are [like a] moth to a flame," Frankel said in the Us Weekly report. "It's almost like -- not that you want to get caught -- but people who love to be in the spotlight often have a lot of skeletons in their closet. It's just an interesting thing."
U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman spoke about the indictment which took place Monday.
"The indictment returned today alleges the Giudices lied to the bankruptcy court, to the IRS and to a number of banks," Fishman told The Daily News. "Everyone has an obligation to tell the truth when dealing with the courts, paying their taxes and applying for loans or mortgages. That's reality."
The Associated Press reported that the Giudices were each released from a Newark, N.J. courtroom Tuesday on $500,000 bond but will not be allowed to leave the New York or New Jersey area. The Giudices are due to return to court Aug. 14 and have yet to officially enter their pleas.
