Bethesda Debuts 'Doom' Gameplay at E3 2015 (VIDEO)

Bethesda Softworks unveiled the public's first look at the gameplay trailer for their new "Doom" installment at the Los Angeles E3 this weekend.

The upcoming reboot of "Doom" got a new gameplay trailer when Bethesda Softworks unveiled id Software's upcoming reboot of "Doom" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo during its June 14 showcase.

The demo featured the game's iconic space marine putting on his helmet in what appears to be a Mars setting, where the UAC Corporation is bent on deciphering artificial symbols all over the planet.

Based on the footage, Mars appears to be more violent and less hospitable to its human visitors as the new "Doom" reboots from the original 1993 PC game with more brutal and gory gunplay.

The footage was initially shown as a teaser during publisher id Software's QuakeCon 2014 in Dallas, Texas, with the E3 version appearing more polished and put together.

The reboot's gameplay trailer features classic old school "Doom" action with fast firefights against multiple opponents. Enemy groups warp in from every conceivable location, keeping players alert, similar to how the original PC "Doom" series kept players on their toes.

Weapons from the original games make reappearances, including the classic and super shotguns, the chainsaw, and the plasma rifle. The familiar weapons are bolstered by new features such as double jumps, mantling, and melee execution kills giving players the ability to become more dynamic and aggressive in their game.

Initially a single player game footage in its original PC version, the new "Doom" introduces multiplayer gameplay, Parkour moves, free-for-all capture the flag competitions, and team deathmatch modes. Players will also get the new Doom Snapmap option to create their own game under the game mode editor.

"Doom" is scheduled for release in the first or second quarter of 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
