'Better Call Saul' Premiere Release Date, News: 'Breaking Bad' Spin-off Set for 2-Night Premiere
The highly-anticipated "Breaking Bad" spin-off from AMC, "Better Call Saul" has been announced to have a special two-night premiere on its debut date. On February 8, 2015, at 10 p.m., the show will unveil its first episode to be followed with another segment next day, of the same time. From then on, "Better Call Saul," will air regularly every Monday at 10 p.m.
Created and produced by the genius behind "Breaking Bad," Vince Gilligan, the hour-long show will tackle the life of James McGill (Bob Odendirk) before he met the blue meth king Walter "Heisenberg" White (Bryan Cranston). He would later be known as Saul Goodman.
He was briefly described in a press release as a "small-time lawyer searching for his destiny and hustling to make ends meet."
Joining him in the cast list is another "Breaking Bad" alum Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Michael McKean, Patrick Fabian, Rhea Seehorn, and Michael Mando.
Just recently, the show revealed a new teaser trailer.
The 30-second clip is enough to whet the appetite of fans that have been waiting for any information about the show. In the video, a ravaged motel room was featured with a broken TV, heels and clothing lying around the floor, bottles of alcoholic drinks, half-smoked cigars, white powder and a credit card on a hand-held mirror.
The camera pans around and police sirens start to wail. The view then showed a phone book with Saul Goodman's contact information circled in red.
