Beyonce is making sure to let the world know that there is no bad blood with her younger sister Solange Knowles by posting an updated snapshot of the pair bonding on Instagram.
Solange, the 27-year-old singer and sister of fellow songstress Beyonce, physically attacked her brother-in-law Shawn "Jay Z" Carter while exiting the Met Gala that was held in New York City's The Standard Hotel. After the May 5 altercation made national headlines when TMZ posted the audio-free video Monday, the sisters have been posting past photographs of one another on Instagram.
To drive the point home, Beyonce posted a new photograph and captioned the image with the date which lets the world know that the pair are presently on good terms despite the infamous elevator issue that turned physical in a viral video.
"May 17th, 2014," Beyonce captioned the image on Instagram.
The photograph comes after the pair released a statement with Jay Z to address the rumors surrounding the video where things turned physical with Solange and the rap mogul.
"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it," the statement made to the Associated Press Thursday. "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred."
According to the family, both Jay Z and Solange made up with each other.
"They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public," the family said. "They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
However, the trio spoke out about false reports concerning Solange being intoxicated that night leading to the altercation.
"The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day, families have problems and we're no different," the statement reads. "We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."
