Beyonce Long Hair Makes Debut; Singer's Hip-Length Braids Make Waves (PHOTO)

Beyonce Knowles stepped out in New York City with a brand new hairstyle that is making waves this week.

The "Run" singer debuted a care-free summertime look complete with caramel-colored braids that extended past her hips on Wednesday, May 21. Beyonce wore the hairstyle swept to the side and paired the look with black cropped pants, a floral yellow and blue top and high heels, according to Us Weekly. The ultra-long hair has Beyonce fans in a frenzy as the photos circulated the internet following her outing.

"Beyonce rocks super long braids, I love her new look," Anna posted to Twitter.

The "Drunk in Love" singer's long locks are a swift change from her recent curled hairstyle. However, Bey has worn long braids once before and shared a photo of the style in Instagram. The long-haired look has fans wondering if Beyonce will keep the style if she attends the highly anticipated wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Paris this weekend.

According to reports this week, Beyonce's husband Jay-Z is confirmed to attend the Parisian nuptials of his close friend and collaborator, West. However, Beyonce is still just a "maybe," according to Us Weekly.

Meanwhile, Beyonce's new hairstyle arrives after she and Jay-Z became the center of media speculation after a video featuring Beyonce's sister Solange attacking Jay-Z went viral earlier this month. The family released a statement assuring fans that they have "worked through" the incident.

"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred," the statement to the Associated Press read. "They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
