Beyonce Knowles, Grammy Award-winning singer and new mother, was spotted leaving an adult education center in New York City recently, causing many to speculate about her attempt to continue her education.

Knowles, 30, was reportedly spotted entering the Adult Educational Complex in midtown Manhattan, where General Education Diplomas are granted. Knowles was pictured exiting a van that contained a baby seat, while she carried what looked to be a binder to the education building.

According to MedaTakeOut.com, the singer dropped out of high school at the age of 15 to pursue her music career. Since then, she achieved success with girl group Destiny's Child and as a solo artist, earning multiple awards and nominations.

Still, some of over three million fans of the singer questioned why she wanted to pursue a diploma.

"So what is Beyonce gonna do with a GED,"one fan questioned. "She's already rich, what is a GED going to do for her?"

However, some of her other fans seemed proud of the singer.

"Beyonce has decided to get her GED at the ripe age of 30," a fan tweeted. "They say it's never too late to get an education."

Still, some people poked fun at the singer.

"Beyonce is going back to get her GED," another person tweeted. "I always knew she wasn't the brightest bulb in the box, but I thought she finished high school."

Knowles has yet to confirm whether she went to the building to pursue a GED or higher education. The singer is gearing up for her comeback performance after taking some time off to spend time with her new daughter, Blue Ivy.

Knowle's first performances after giving birth will take place on May 25, 26 and 27, and coincide with the launch of the newly built $2.4M Revel entertainment center and resort in Atlantic City.
