Beyonce Writes Tina Knowles Heartfelt Letter; Spends Mother's Day With Family

Beyonce, 30-year-old international pop star, showed her mother special attention on the first Mother's Day after giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy in January.

The singer wrote a heartfelt letter to her mother, Tina Knowles, that she posted on her website to celebrate mother's day Sunday.

"Dear Mama, everything I am is because of you. You are the first voice that ever sang to me," the singer wrote. "At every turn you push me to be better. You teach me to be true to myself and the ones I love."

In the note, Beyonce said appreciation for her mother increased after she gave became a mother herself this year.

"When I look into your eyes, I am so proud. Now that I'm a mother, I truly realize the sacrifices you made for us," Beyonce wrote. "My love for you goes beyond what I can say. Happy, Happy Mama's Day."

The singer and her mother spent the holiday together, according to Us Weekly. Tina Knowles told Us Weekly, that their family gathered in the Knowles' home to spend time with one another and eat good food.

Beyonce has been vocal about the life changes that she has undergone as a mother recently, however she has admitted that she is looking forward to having another child in the future.

At the the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala on May 7, the singer spoke to "Entertainment Tonight" about giving birth again.

"I definitely want to have more. I don't know how many," Knowles said. "God knows I don't know yet."

However, the Grammy Award-winning singer who said she has "such a full life" said Blue Ivy made her better understand her purpose.

"I feel like now I know the reason I was born," Knowles explained to "ET."
