Biblical Theological Seminary Signs New Partnership

Bible Theological Seminary and the Christian History Institute (chi) recently signed a partnership with a shared vision of raising up urban church leaders who will engage in ministries that transform individuals, families, and communities for the glory of God.

CHI provides resources to the public in the form of publications, videos, instructional material, inspiration handouts, and website-based information.

CHI plans to move into Biblical campus in the next few month where the two organizations are now represented on each other’s boards, with CHI’s president Dr. Kenneth Curtis joining Biblical’s board and Biblical’s president, Dr. David Dunbar, taking a seat on CHI’s board.

Other partners are Phila SemPartners.net and IBRI. PhilaSem is a cooperative network connecting Biblical with a network of churches in Philadelphia and provides discipled apprenticeships for the Urban LEAD MDiv program. IBRI is a Christian group that trains men and women in Biblical studies and other academic disciplines so they can help other Christians dialog in the many areas where non-Christian teaching is so dominant today.

According to the board of trustees, Biblical's mission is: "To prepare missional leaders who incarnate the story of Jesus with humility and authenticity and who communicate the story with fidelity to Scripture, appreciation of the Christian tradition, and sensitivity to the needs and aspirations of postmodern culture."

The new partnership will enable the Seminary to contribute to the excellence of the Christian educational environment in ministry in the 21st century.
