'Big Brother' 16 Spoilers: New Nominee for Eviction Shakes Things Up in the House

The "Big Brother" house was shaken last night during the Power of Veto competition. One original target was removed from the nomination block, making room for another, surprising target to be put up for possible eviction.

Going into the Power of Veto competition, Head of Household Caleb was perfectly content with his nominees of Donny and Paolo. Donny was incredibly emotional and did his best to tell everyone how he truly felt about them and how much he appreciated their support; Devin, however, was super suspicious and thought that Donny was merely playing everyone for a fool. Donny, meanwhile, just continued being himself.

At the same time, Joey decided to try and form an all-girl alliance in the house. It failed dramatically, and Joey was left on her own, with no one to turn to. Instead, she began apologizing to everybody and revealing to the men that she had tried to form the alliance. Her actions did not sit well with the male players in the house, especially the members of the Bomb Squad, who realized that Joey could pose a threat and had overplayed her hand.

At the Power of Veto competition, players had to race in order to spell out the longest word possible. Paola, Victoria, Zach, Cody, and Caleb all worked hard to try and get the Veto for themselves and get Donny out of the competition. Unfortunately, Caleb was the only one to correctly spell a word … everyone else either misspelled his/her word or didn't finish the word. Donny was the last to reveal his word, "splitters," which won him the Power of Veto and safety for the week.

The Bomb Squad quickly rallied and Caleb then nominated Joey for elimination, citing her failed attempt at a new alliance. Now Joey and Paola will fight for as many votes as possible before the vote during Thursday night's episode. One of these two ladies will be the first to leave the "Big Brother" house.

"Big Brother" airs Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights on CBS.
