'Big Brother 17' news, cast, spoilers: Is Johnny Mac's eviction looming as a disappointing competition comes to a close?

In the last episode of "Big Brother," viewers witnessed the Head of Household (HoH) competition commence. This competition involves holding onto a rope while being on a small platform, and spinning in the air in circles and simultaneously getting slapped by two giant hands. Tough as it sounds, it is an exciting event until this episode.

Many were disappointed by the way things turned out. According to a live update on BuddyTV, it seems that the competition was over within 5 minutes. The first people that were counted out were Julia who fell off during the commercial break, followed by Steve and Meg. A minute later, it was followed by James, the next minutes with Liz, Becky, Jacky, and Shelli. Hope was renewed when Johnny Mac got in the game; however, he did not last long as he immediately fell off again. Three minutes later and Vanessa was named new HoH.

Viewers were expecting that Johnny will win this week and so it was a disappointment that luck was not on his side. Although it was assumed that less athletic HG will not last long like Steve and Shelli, including Becky who had a slight injury to her toe while walking into the competition, no one expected it to end so quickly. Cartermatt goes far as to say that it was the "worst endurance competition."

The competition was deemed lame and the winner unsatisfying as many felt that Vanessa has been quite irrational with her decisions. Also with her in charge, it will definitely mean that Johnny Mac will be in danger again of eviction this week. However, Austin and the AusTwins have also had their eyes on getting Johnny Mac evicted, as they have nominated him before. After refusing Vanessa's deal, Johnny will have to take the risk of being nominated once more.
