A woman accusing Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2008 recently met with Los Angeles Police Department Wednesday to pursue filing criminal charges against the entertainer.

Cosby, the 77-year-old comedian who became popular in the 1980s and 1990s family sitcom "The Cosby Show," has recently been the subject of media scrutiny due to the rising number of allegations brought against him. Over 20 women have come forth alleging that Cosby sexually assaulted and drugged them years ago.

While some of the allegations of assault date back to the 1970s, 24-year-old model Chloe Goins alleges that Cosby drugged and assaulted her in 2008. Spencer Kuvin is acting as Goins' attorney and spoke about what took place with their LAPD meeting at a press conference Wednesday.

"Ms. Goins and I are here for two reasons: for justice and accountability," Kuvin said at a press conference, according to FOX reports.

Since Goins is the first person alleging Cosby's assault within the statute of limitations, her attorney spoke about the importance of her filing criminal charges against Cosby.

"Chloe is very aware of her responsibility because so many other women are outside of the statute of limitation," Kuvin said. "She is seeking justice under the criminal justice system."

Last week, Kuvin spoke about the possibility of surveillance videotapes inside of the Playboy Mansion proving her allegations against Cosby to be true.

"The information about the cameras is general knowledge from other Playboy playmates. We hope that the LAPD would execute a search warrant to obtain those tapes," Kuvin told FOX411 last week. "I would hope that those tapes exist, and I hope they would know that those tapes should be maintained because they are key evidence in both a criminal and civil investigation."

Last month, Kuvin told the Daily Mail that police may include search warrants in their investigation.

"The police will be doing additional investigative work which will include things like issuing search warrants," Kuvin said. "They want to get all their information first before sitting down and having an interview with Chloe about her incident."

Cosby has denied the allegations of drugging and sexually assaulting women, and no charges have been brought against the comedian.
