According to Pittsburgh Magazine, "Turns out Cowher is dating Queen V, and if you've ever been in a relationship, you know how these things go. Sometimes you do ridiculous things for people you love."

In Cowher's 15 seasons as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team won eight division titles and made ten playoff appearances.

Cowher led The Steelers to the Super Bowl twice, winning one. He is the second coach in NFL history to reach the playoffs in each of his first six seasons as head coach, a feat previously accomplished by Paul Brown.

Cowher resigned as head coach of the Steelers on January 5, 2007, 11 months to the day after winning 2005–06's Super Bowl XL.

Cowher's wife passed away from skin cancer two years ago.

He has become known for being a CBS studio analyst for The NFL Today, and although various rumors have surrounded him and whether he would return to coaching, he has reportedly turned down various coaching roles to remain at CBS for the moment.

However, numerous analysts believe he is just taking his time and waiting for the right opportunity to reenter the coaching arena.
