Billy Ray Cyrus to Become a Grandfather

Trace Cyrus, Billy Ray’s son and older brother to Miley, is expecting his first child with girlfriend Brenda Song. The ex-frontman for the band Metro Station, Cyrus has been dating actress Song since earlier this year.

Song is about eight weeks along, reported Celebuzz on Thursday. She appeared on the big screen in “The Social Network” and is popular for her role on the Disney series “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.”

Song is the second former Disney star this month reported to be expecting, as Hilary Duff is pregnant with her first child as well.

Cyrus is now a member of the band Ashland HIGH, and started his own clothing line earlier this spring, called Southern Made Hollywood Babe.

An insider told Us Weekly that the pregnancy “was not expected” by Song and Cyrus. The parents-to-be are both 22-years-old and live together in an apartment.

“Trace has known Brenda through Miley for years now but they were always friends,” the source told UW. The couple first appeared publicly together on the red carpet in May.

The young couple was “startled” to learn about the pregnancy said the source, who continued, “They are figuring out how to handle it.”

Shortly after Billy Ray Cyrus’s marriage to his wife Tish, the country star adopted Trace and his sister Brandi as stepchildren. The couple also shares daughters Miley and Noah, as well as their son Braison together. In addition, Billy Ray has another son, Christopher, who he told ABC News was conceived at the same time at Miley, while he was unmarried.

Cyrus and wife Tish announced their divorce last fall, but several months later reported that they decided to stay together.

Cyrus appears on the Great American Country (GAC) Channel on his own show, “Billy Ray Cyrus: I’m American” which includes performances from the artist’s new album and guest star appearances.
