Bishop Opposed to Demand By IMF

Bishop Boniface Lele of Kitui Catholic diocese has petitioned the Government to quash the IMF aid condition of retrenching civil servants.

Bishop Lele said that if the retrenchment must be done, the Government should offer the victims an alternative source of income. He was speaking in Mwingi after presiding over the ordination of six deacons into priesthood.

The bishop termed the IMF condition as inhuman.
