The Black Eyed Peas have canceled their participation in a Michael Jackson tribute concert in Cardiff, Wales this weekend, event organizers have confirmed.

The band was slated to be one of the biggest draws of the night for the Saturday show.

"Due to unavoidable circumstances, the Black Eyed Peas will be unable to perform at this Saturday's Michael Forever event," said Chris Hunt, head of Global Live Events.

"It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists. The event is really getting into gear and is going to be a fantastic evening for all."

Other performers on the bill include: LaToya Jackson with some of her brothers, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, legends Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson, and U.K. stars Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, JLS and Diversity, while Beyonce will appear on video.

Michael Jackson's brothers Jermaine and Randy are in strong opposition of the concert because of the ongoing trial with Dr. Conrad Murray happening at the same time.

Also occurring at the same time is the Jackson family sanctioned Cirque du Soleil show The Immortal World Tour which premiered on Oct. 2 with rave reviews from critics and family members in attendance.

The tour will travel across 47 U.S. cities after kicking off in Montreal, Can.

The show features some of Jackson's most popular songs throughout his career.

The show sold $40 million tickets within the first 24 hours.

Michael Jackson will also have his second posthumous album released on Nov. 21 titled “Immortal” and will feature the music of the Cirque du Soleil show along with reworked versions of his hi songs.

Michael Jackson died on June 2009 in the midst of plans of making a comeback with the This Is It Tour at the age of 50.
