The base model offered by MacConnection comes with a 1.6 MHz Intel i5 dual-core processor, 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM, 64 GB Hard Drive, and an 11.6” 1366 x 768 LED-backlit display.

It also includes Bluetooth 4.0, Facetime camera, thunderbolt port and Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. The AppleCare plan provides the buyer with a 3-year warrantee.

To take advantage of the holiday deal, consumers must enter the code “9-5AIRCARE” at checkout. The limit is two per customer and it is only offered for a limited time.

MacConnection described the device as a truly mobile computer that is light, thin and strong enough for users to take with them wherever they go.

“It also needs to perform quickly, spring to life instantly and have enough battery power to keep up with you,” said MacConnection.

The website also said the laptop does not have a spinning hard drive, optical drive and other unnecessary parts.

“When MacBook Air first debuted, it was groundbreaking in many ways, Chief among them was the precision unibody enclosure,” MacConnection added.
