BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 Roll-Out News, Details: Latest OS Rolls Out With Powerful Features

The highly anticipated BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 is now reportedly rolling out for seven of the mobile company's devices namely the BlackBerry Q5, Q10, Z10, Z30, Z30, Z3, Porsche Design P'9983 and on the recently-released Passport.

According to a report from GSMArena, the BlackBerry Classic will be running on the latest operating system out of the box.

The update, as stated on the official BlackBerry website (via GSMArena), would include the following features:

  • BlackBerry Blend – a multi-platform feature which allows users to gain access on their messages, personal emails, documents, calendar, contacts, and other media
  • BlackBerry Assistant – the first digital assistant from BlackBerry which can be used with voice and text commands. According to BBM: "It's the only smartphone assistant on the market today that can access both personal and work content in your work perimeter."
  • BlackBerry World – offers "essential business and productivity apps for working professionals"
  • BlackBerry Hub– the place to manage all conversations like email, texts, BBM, phone calls, social media and more others with Instant Actions
  • Time Saving Keyboard Shortcuts – is now also coming for the Q5, Q10, Porsche Design P'9983, and the Passport
  • Power Saving Profile – offers users the ability to boost their unit's battery life for up to 15 percent by restricting select applications and functions
  • New Camera Functions – new upgraded camera functions which give off automatic recommendations on modes and settings
  • Media Improvements – users have access to 17 preset equalizer options for both music and video
  • BBM Meetings – a plus for business users who are looking for a "new way to work smarter and be more productive"

Users will receive notifications through their BlackBerry Hub when the new software is ready for download and installment.
