BlackBerry Passport Now Available for Pre-Order; Device Comes in 2 New Colors

After a hugely successful launch last September, BlackBerry Limited is once again set to offer their loyal followers more surprises as they announced that the new BlackBerry Passport is now available in two exciting new colors.

First reported by GSM Arena on Nov. 22, the BlackBerry Passport WHITE edition is up for pre-orders at $699. The site also added that the device is expected to be shipped on Dec. 7.

Then just yesterday, the tech site once again reported that the BlackBerry Passport is now also available in another color – RED. The red color Passport first came out as a rumor when CrackBerry showed it off in their site side by side with the white BB Passport.

Both colored versions are said to be available for pre-orders only: BlackBerry Canada and BlackBerry US Online Store.

As for the price, the red variant arrives at $699 while the white one has a reduced (updated) price of $599. The black/original color edition comes at a regular $499 price tag.

Putting aside the colors, the BlackBerry Passport is one device that appeals best to the "business-oriented" users with its physical QWERTY keyboard and other powerful features.

It has a 4.5-inch square display with 1440 x 1440 resolution and 453ppi. Under the hood, it has a quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 processor coupled with Adreno 330 and a 3GB worth of RAM.

Its 13MP auto-focus rear camera is also to reckon with as it comes with the latest picture-taking features like face detection, time shift, HDR and LED Flash.

Its 450mAh battery is another great feature as it enables the device to last for up to 73 hours under regular usage, as reported.
