'Blade 4' news, cast, spoilers: Wesley Snipes not closing doors for the 4th installment

Aside from Marvel's latest string of superhero movies, one of the latest reacquisitions of the company would be the widely popular "Blade." The studio has been obviously quite preoccupied with producing its cinematic universe centered on the Avengers.

Wesley Snipes, who played the role of the day-walking vampire hunter Blade in New Line Cinema's 1998-2004 trilogy, has already mentioned before that he has talked with Marvel about reprising the well-loved role once more. Snipes had an interview with Huffington Post in which he answered the question about his willingness to take on another Blade film. He shared, "There's always a possibility, you know. It's in Marvel's hands. They're controlling the pace and the flow with that. Conversations have been good. They see the value in it. We see the value in it. I'm still in shape enough and fit enough to handle the role. We'll see where it goes. I don't really know what's going to happen to it yet."

New movie franchises might be too much for Marvel right now as it has already been reported to lack enough time to explore other characters anymore, being that its schedule is currently booked for the following four years. If "Blade" does make a comeback, Marvel might possibly explore a TV show much like what it did to "Daredevil." There are also rumors that Blade's daughter might get her own Marvel film, and if that is the case, it is possible that Blade will be passing the torch to another actress who can be signed for multi-film contracts.

During the interview, the amusing question of whether there is a possibility of Blade joining the Avengers came up since, after all, it is Marvel's main focus right now. Snipes was happy to entertain the question and answered, "That would be interesting. I mean, I know it's in the comic book. It would be interesting to see where they would place him and where he really would fit in. He's got to bite somebody. I don't know who he's going to bite. Scarlett Johansson!"
