'Blade Runner' Sequel News, Cast Update: Director Ridley Scott Showed Harrison Ford New Script
It seems like it's not only the fans who are quite excited for the rumored sequel of the hit 1982 sci-fi classic "Blade Runner."
Speaking with MTV News, director Ridley Scott revealed that the script for the next installment is already underway as it is "written and ready to go."
The "Kingdom of Heaven" helmer also dished out that franchise lead actor Harrison Ford is "absolutely" on board for BR 2 to reprise his role as Rick Deckard, The Hollywood Reporter said.

"I sent him this [script], and he said it's the best thing he's ever read," Scott told THR. "It's very relevant to what happened in the first one."
"I'm not just doing a sequel with lots of action and see how far we can go with the special effects because you can't really. 'Blade Runner' kind of landed on a somehow very credible future. And it's very difficult to change that because it's been so influential with everything else," the 77-year-old "Prometheus" director went on to say.
Variety.com meanwhile wrote that Scott is still floating on the idea whether or not he will direct the upcoming sequel.
Nonetheless, the "Black Hawk Down" director spilled some information on his yet another highly-anticipated film sequel, "Prometheus 2."
In it he revealed that the second movie will continue to explore the relationship between Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and David (Michael Fassbender), of whom Scott further teased that he might not be "bodyless" for long.
"Once that head goes back on, he's really dangerous, but he's also very seductive," Scott told Variety. "So maybe he'll persuade her to help him put the head back."
