'Blindspot' Season 2 Episode 16 Spoilers: Former Foe Takes Team Weller's Side, Patterson Avenges Self on Borden?

After a brief hiatus, NBC's crime drama series, "Blindspot," will finally be back this week with a brand-new episode. And it seems like it will also be bringing back an old familiar face.

While the official synopsis for the upcoming episode does not directly reveal Nas' (Archie Panjabi) fate after the previous installment's cliffhanger, it does tease that she will be instrumental in Team Weller's success in capturing their inside source within Sandstorm. Not much detail is revealed, but it looks like Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and Jane (Jaimie Alexander) will be meeting an old acquaintance and foe when they go looking for Nas' inside source. Who could this person be, and how will he or she affect the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) fight against Sandstorm?

In the latest edition of TV Line's Inside Line, actress Panjabi teased that when the show returns from its brief hiatus, a former enemy of Team Weller will be joining them in their search for Sandstorm.

In another tidbit from Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, it was revealed that actor Tom Lipinski will be reprising his role as Cade, a Sandstorm operative who once went after Jane, and on whom Jane pinned Oscar's (François Arnaud) death when Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) asked about it. Cade's imminent return happens in the upcoming episode.

Could Cade be Nas' inside man within Sandstorm? If he is, how will meeting him again affect Jane, given their history? And will he really be able to help Team Weller out in taking Shepherd's terrorist group down?

The official promo for the next episode also teases the return of another familiar face. Dr. Borden (Ukweli Roach) finds himself in the crosshairs of the team he once befriended then betrayed. But the brunt of that betrayal fell the heaviest on his former girlfriend, Patterson (Ashley Johnson), who seems to have tagged along on the mission for the sole purpose of seeing him again and exacting her revenge. Will Patterson lose herself in her anger and do something she might later on regret?

"Blindspot" season 2 episode 16 titled "Evil Did I Dwell, Lewd Did I Live," airs on Wednesday, March 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
