'Bloodborne' PS4 Release Date Delay: Game Delayed to March 2014 Due to Alpha Test Feedback

"Bloodborne," a Playstation 4 exclusive by From Software and Japan Studio, won't be released by February 2015 release date and will be pushed back to March 25 instead. Japan Studio's Masaaki Yamagiwa mentioned that the delay has been in response to its alpha tester's feedbacks.

"It is with regret that I must inform you that Bloodborne will be slightly delayed," Yamagiwa said through Sony's Playstation blog.

"While development continues unabated, we would like out team to deliver the best possible final experience. We were gratified by the feedback and data we received from those who participated in our limited Alpha test. The extra production time will also allow us to better integrate these learnings," Yamagiwa adds.

The alpha test was held last month, and then later pulled off after the developers found a defect as well as some game issues. Yamagiwa has also further mentioned that some "exciting" news about Bloodborne will be coming early December.

The game is the latest next-gen title to be delayed, following others like "Mortal Kombat X," "Batman: Arkham Knight," "Battlefield Hardline," "Tom Clancy's The Division," and "The Order: 1886."

"Bloodborne" was first announced at Sony's conference during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014 where a trailer for the game was also shown.

From Software is famous for developing another similarly dark-themed RPG game for the Playstation, "Dark Souls" and "Dark Souls 2." "Bloodborne" though has a much faster gameplay and requires players to take an offensive approach in order to defeat the more numerous enemies present.
