Bloodborne Release Date Coming February 2015, Game at 1080p/30fps

The Playstation 4 exclusive game "Bloodborne" by From Software is going to be set to 1080p at 30fps according to the developers themselves. Apparently, the devs themselves prefer the game to be set that way. The game is a few months from release but it would seem that the dev team still haven't finalized the game's specs yet.

Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa had said in a statement that they "haven't made an official announcement yet but they will probably go for 30fps since that's what they found to be the best fps to play action games."

"From the beginning, they weren't targeting 60fps because it's not a first-person shooter, it's an action game," he added.

Also recently, it would seem that there had been a misinterpretation of the interview's translation from Japanese to English. Apparently, while going over the specs of the game, he had mentioned that 30fps was the best framerate for action games. The translation was a misunderstanding and the translator clarified Yamagiwa's statement.

"I believe there was some misunderstanding as my translation was sort of interrupted by Yamagiwa-san in the middle. I talked with him and he didn't mean that 30fps is the best option for 'all' action games but rather he meant that 1080p/30fps was the best solution for an action game like Bloodborne," the translator said.

The 1080p/30fps specs is likely to be final as the game is scheduled to be released on Feb. 5, 2015 on the Playstation 4 for Japan, and Feb. 6, 2015 for the NA and EU.
