'Blue Bloods' Season 7 Spoilers: Cop Friend of the Reagans Falls Victim to Gang Violence; Frank Wants Street Violence to Stop

Danny himself may become a victim as one member points a gun at him.

The viewers will once again be kept on the edge of their seats when "Blue Bloods" Season 7 will air episode number four on Friday. The main focus of the episode is on gangs and the havoc they can create. The NYPD decides to deal with the problem when one of their own falls victim from a gang attack in the episode titled "Mob Rules".

A family friend is attacked

Although not a member of the Reagan family, Lt. Gormley (Robert Clohessy) is considered a close friend of the family. After he is attacked, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) along with others, stops at nothing to get the people responsible for the attack outside Gormley's house in the "Blue Bloods" Season 7 episode.

In the official sneak peek released by CBS for the upcoming "Blue Bloods" Season 7 episode, Gormley can be seen trying to pacify gang members who were causing a racket outside his house. One member of the gang even taunts him to call a cop. When Gormley told them he was a cop, he was mercilessly attacked.

Frank calls for end of gang violence

Frank can be seen in the promo trailer visiting him in the hospital and then decides to go against gangs. He tells the people in the community that it is their common goal to put an end on the blood on the streets. It appears from the trailer of the "Blue Bloods" Season 7 episode that the gangs have taken control of the neighborhood. Danny himself might be a victim of the gangs when one member points a gun at him.

Due to their determination to bring justice for their friend and to find the truth behind the attack in the "Blue Bloods" Season 7 episode , Frank and Danny will seek the help of Detective Anthony Abetemarco (Steve Schirripa). He has personal connections with the ins and outs of Gormley's neighborhood.

Also in the fourth episode of "Blue Bloods" Season 7, Eddie (Vanessa Ray) and Jamie (Will Estes) will witness a dishonest arrest. Danny on the other hand, encounters great difficulty in locating a witness who could testify against a dangerous mob leader.

In last week's episode

Last week on "Blue Bloods" Season 7, Danny and Baez were caught in a difficult situation where a rape victim refused to testify against her attacker. This despite some evidence and having gone through a traumatic experience. Even with the passion and effort that Danny put to bring the attacker to justice, it seemed like the suspect was to get off without any charge due to the victim's fear of the ramifications of going forward.

Danny ended up orchestrating a setup plan with the victim which unfortunately did not work. Many viewers hope though that this case will be addressed further in succeeding episodes of "Blue Bloods" Season 7. The good thing that came out of Danny's plan was it got the whole police department looking after him now.

Delicate manner of bringing justice

In the same "Blue Bloods" Season 7 episode, Frank found himself in another dilemma where he had to figure out a way to bring justice to an important police fundraiser after he was caught cutting through traffic while in a fake police vehicle. Frank needed to handle the case in a delicate manner because of who he was dealing with. Meanwhile, Jamie refused the job offer he got as a technical adviser in a cop show which means he will stay in the police force.

New episodes of "Blue Bloods" Season 7 air every Friday on CBS.
