'Blue Bloods' Season 7 Release Date, Spoilers and Update: Jamie Might Turn His Back on Family Tradition; Frank Finds Romance Again

Jamie gets a job offer that might make him turn his back on his family's legacy

The premiere of "Blue Bloods" Season 7 will be on Friday night and the drama moves on from where it left off last season. Danny Reagan will have to defend his actions which led to the death of serial killer Thomas Wilder. Another of Frank Reagan's children will have some problems of his own in the upcoming season.

Jamie gets a job offer

In a new plot twist for "Blue Bloods" Season 7, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) might be quitting his job because of a new job offer. Regular viewers of the long running police drama would know that he gave up the practice of law to follow his family's tradition of donning a police uniform to protect the city and its citizens.

That is certainly expected of him being the youngest son of Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) and a brother to a seasoned police detective and Iraqi war veteran Danny Reagan (Donny Wahlberg).

A report says that Jamie will be offered to work as a technical advisor on a TV show in "Blue Bloods" Season 7. The job offer comes at a time when Danny is being investigated on his involvement in the death of a Wilder and his dad is having a PR nightmare in his hands.

Prominent public figure

Spoilers say that a prominent public figure who is known as a fund raiser for the New York Police Department will be causing Frank problems in "Blue Bloods" Season 7. The public figure will be seen driving around the city in a police vehicle.

It is not known if Frank's PR headache will have something to do with the drunk driving case involving a high profile celebrity that Jamie and his partner will be handling in the first episode of "Blue Bloods" Season 7. With all the issues that his family will be dealing with and the sense of duty that has been deeply instilled in him, it is highly doubtful that Jamie will leave the police force for another job at this time.

Confirmed guest stars

Two guest stars have been confirmed to appear in the premiere of "Blue Bloods" Season 7, namely Lori Loughlin and Michael Imperioli. The former will portray a widow of a slain police officer named Grace. She will beg Frank to stop her son from joining the police force at all costs.

Imperioli will play the hard hitting lawyer Robert Lewis, from the attorney general's office. He will be the one to spearhead the investigation on Danny in the the killing of Thomas Wilder in "Blue Bloods" Season 7.

Another chance at love

Meanwhile, spoilers say that amid all the career and personal problems that are hounding him in "Blue Bloods" Season 7, Frank might get the chance to fall in love and find romance in his life again. He certainly deserves to since it's been years since Mary Margaret Reagan died due to cancer.

Find out if Frank will meet the next Mrs. Reagan and if Jamie decides to leave the police force when "Blue Bloods" premieres on September 23 on CBS.
