After a six year long hiatus from television, Bo Derek made her way to the small screen once again on last night's episode of "CSI: Miami," the hit CBS crime drama.
Bo Derek is best known for her role in the 1979 comedy, "10." But she has since been involved in many projects that range from "7th Heaven" to "Tommy Boy."
"CSI: Miami" star David Caruso, who plays investigator Horatio Caine, was more than pleased to share the spotlight with Derek. He told Entertainment Tonight, "She's a legend. She is a living legend. [We're acting] here with Bo Derek, and that's a testament to 'CSI: Miami.'"
As a guest star, Bo Derek played the role of Joanna Toring, the owner of a horse stable that is host to a rider's murder.
A lifelong horse enthusiast, Derek is known for her work with the Animal Welfare Institute to help end horse slaughter. And her autobiography is titled, Riding Lessons: Everything That Matters in Life I learned from Horses.
Derek told Entertainment Tonight this role was a "good fit." She went on to say, "When I was not so sure [about appearing on the show] because I do have some other things going on ... they threw in that the horse would be here ... so that was a clincher."

Derek was even familiar with the ranch where the episode was filmed. She said she had been there many times and told ET, "The [ranch owner] is a friend of mine." She had previously sold the ranch a horse named Joe Cool, whom she had not seen in eight years and she told ET, "It was fun to see him."
Derek enjoyed her time with "CSI: Miami" and spoke highly of the episode saying, "It's a real who-done-it. You've got horses, animals shady characters ... all the good elements."
"CSI: Miami" airs on CBS Sunday nights from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
