Bob Ley Slams LeBron James for Telling Tony Romo 'Don't Watch ESPN'
Bob Ley slammed LeBron James after the Miami Heat superstar told Dallas Cowboys quarterback "don't watch ESPN." Ley, the longest-tenured sportscaster for ESPN, took personal offense to James' advice and struck back on Twitter.
While many interpreted James' advice to Romo as something akin to "don't listen to the critics" regarding his performance in the NFL and his back surgery, Ley felt James was talking about ESPN specifically, and pointed out the NBA player's hypocrisy.
"Help me here, @KingJames. 'Don't watch ESPN.' –except when you're the focus of a 1 hr show announcing your free agent destination?" the sportscaster tweeted.

James spoke to Romo at a Heat-Mavericks game Tuesday and said he wanted Romo to win, but told him to ignore the critics.
"Just don't care what everybody thinks," James said. "If you care about your craft and at the end of the day if you went out there and you gave it everything you had and you laid it out on the line for your teammates, you can sleep comfortably at night. Don't watch ESPN and all these so-called 'everyone knows what to do that ain't never put on a uniform, trying to tell you what to do' [shows]."
James also said that he wanted the Cowboys should attempt to recruit Johnny Manziel, the 2012 Heisman trophy winner. The whole comment led to Ley's attack on the NBA star via Twitter.
Ley has been the sportscaster and host of "Outside the Lines" for years.
