The sudden death of the beloved singer and actress Whitney Houston is still a shock to many, especially her ex-husband Bobby Brown and their daughter Bobbi Kristina. After avoiding the press, Brown has finally opened up about the passing of his ex-wife.

"I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston," Brown told People Magazine. "At this time we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina."

The news came suddenly to Brown, who was scheduled to perform with his group New Edition in Mississippi. It has been reported that the 43-year-old singer showed signs of distress as he tried to perform.

He performed 10 songs before eventually leaving the stage, unable to continue.

"I would like to say I love you Whitney. The hardest thing for me to do is come on this stage," Brown told the crowd before leaving.
