Bomb Explosion at Craigmont High School in Memphis: 2 Arrested for Prank? (VIDEO)
One person was injured Thursday after a bomb exploded at a Memphis, Tennessee high school.
The Memphis Fire department received a call Thursday that a bomb had gone off at a Craigmont high school. It was later revealed that the bombs were homemade and could be a possible school prank.
Supervisor Tina McNeil of the fire department stated that one person had been injured during the incident.

According to Staci Franklin, a spokesperson for the school, the school was evacuated. The call made from the school reported that two homemade explosive devices had been set off.
Franklin reported that the type of bomb that had gone off was often referred to as a "mailbox" bomb. The assistant principal was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation according to CNN.
Materials used to make "mailbox" bombs often include Co2 cartridges often used for a BB gun, gun powder, and according to one "homemade explosive recipe" cannon fuse.
Police have reported that they have two suspects in custody currently, although little other information has been provided.
Now is of course the prime time for senior pranks, which occur frequently before graduation. The popular news site BuzzFeed recently posted up some of the most popular senior pranks. One included putting a turtle in the school's swimming pool, in another students released rats in the high school cafeteria. Making it to the top of the list was student who released chickens in the school hallway.
While senior pranks are meant to be all fun and games, some pranks can be extremely dangerous. In 2002, Mike Helder earned himself a photograph in the FBI database after the college student decided to plant mailbox bombs across the nation in order to make the shape of a smiley face. While none of Helder's victims were killed, a large number were injured and Helder himself was sent off to a mental health center in a Federal Prison.
