'Bones' Cast News, Update: New Showrunner Dished Out Season 11 Premiere Details

As what fans have long been suspecting, the upcoming 11th season of Fox's hit police-procedural drama TV series "Bones" won't be seeing their favorite duo back at the Jeffersonian right away.

The latest TV scoop item from Entertainment Weekly cited what the new executive producer Michael Peterson said.

As divulged by Peterson, viewers will find Booth (David Boreanaz) teaching at Quantico, which means he had already moved on with his life. As for Brennan (Emily Deschanel), the six month-time jump will see the forensic anthropologist already giving birth to her second child. As for the baby's sex, EW reported earlier that Bones will be having a boy.

Despite having the newborn, "Brennan never has trouble filling up her time," Peterson said.

"She's written books, she's done multiple projects. She's more in between than Booth. She's diversified herself into many projects, so she hasn't quite landed on the one," the show's boss added (via EW).

As for how the two will re-group with the rest of the Jeffersonians, Peterson's co-exec producer Jonathan Collier emphasized in an interview with TV Guide (via Classicalite.com) that Booth and Brennan will eventually go back to "something they love and that fulfils them."

However, their return will be full of "emotional consequences."

"We're going to challenge all our characters, but especially Booth and Brennan. There will be events from their past histories that catch up with them," Collier teased (via Classicalite).

Furthermore, it remains to be seen if Brennan and Booth will stay with the team permanently.

Meanwhile, an earlier casting report pointing out to Betty White's involvement with the show is making the waves lately. According to the details published across several media outlets, the 93-year-old star will play the role of Beth Mayer, an anthropologist who helps the team solve a murder case.

It is speculated that the "Hot in Cleveland" actress will appear on the latter half of October, probably in the 3rd or 4th episode of the upcoming season.

"Bones" Season 11 premieres October 1 on Fox. Stay tuned for more updates.
