'Bones' season 11 spoilers, plot rumors: Booth goes missing

Last season, fans of the hit series "Bones" were surprised when the show ended with Bones and Booth leaving The Jeffersonian and the FBI — supposedly — for good. Meanwhile, Angela and Hodgins opt to stay instead of moving to Paris, as they originally planned.

The new season will eventually see Bones and Booth return to the life they lived before as they get sucked back into the world of death and destruction.

The pilot episode of the new season will take place a few months after the end of the previous season's finale, where Booth and Bones have settled into their new quiet lives with their beautiful daughter Christine and their baby boy. However, a rather grisly and intriguing murder will bring the couple back into the fold as they help their friends solve the case. They will find themselves adjusting to the new dynamics of the team that rapidly changed when they left The Jeffersonian.

The pilot episode's title is aptly named "The Loyalty in the Lie." The story arc in this episode revolves around deception and lies. Booth gets kidnapped, which forces Bones to go back to the FBI.

Actress Kim Raver will play FBI special agent Grace Miller. She is brought in to help find Booth and she will appear in the first two episodes of the new season.

The new season will eventually feature a crossover between the series Bones and "Sleepy Hollow" as some characters from the latter will appear in one episode of the former and vice versa, as Bones and Booth or someone else will head to New York to help solve a crime.

However, some fans of both shows find this eventual crossover a little bit weird since the two shows operate in different timelines since Sleepy Hollow is more of a historical-based drama. This crossover is most likely going to happen toward the later part of the season and air sometime early next year as the two shows will begin on different dates and different times.

The new season might see everyone's favorite power couple split as their return to The Jeffersonian could threaten to break them apart.

Bones returns on Oct. 1.
