Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals Game 2 takes place on Saturday night as the Blackhawks look to build on their Game 1 win and further open the gap in the series. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Game 1 was an immense game with three overtime periods needed to settle things on the night. However, when all was said and done it was the Blackhawks who came out on top and lead the series 1-0.
Chicago drew first blood, and will be hoping to use their home advantage in Game 2 to further increase their lead.
However, for the Bruins, Nathan Horton will be back on the ice after participating in the Boston morning skate on Saturday. He left the game with a shoulder injury in Game 1, and missed out on the three periods of overtime. His presence back on the ice will be a big lift for the Bruins as they look to level things up in the series tonight.
Horton told media ahead of tonight's game: "I'm not in any pain. I feel good."
He insisted that he was never in danger of missing Game 2, and seemed to completely dismiss his injury that had Boston fans concerned he would be out for tonight's crunch match up.
"Just trying to get ready for Game 2 like any other player here," Horton said. "Just looking at clips, what we need to do better. But I feel good personally."
Asked whether he feels the Blackhawks will target him in Game 2 knowing he has a slight knock, he said, "It's the playoffs. Everyone's playing physical. Everyone is playing strong. That's the way the game is out there. Like I said, I have no limitations. You know, I'm good to go."
