Brad Pitt, who was nominated for "Best Actor" at the academy awards, may not be nominated for "Best Father" anytime soon.

Brad Pitt recently did an interview with James Lipton for "Inside the Actors Studio" during which he said he had a difficult time waking his six children at times. So what does he do?

"Listen, I admit there's times like, 'We gotta get up. Get up! Here's your shoes. Here's your shoes. Drink this Coke. Drink this Coca-Cola. Drink it all. Right now! Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!' Just so we could get 'em up and going," Pitt told Lipton.

Pitt has recently been nominated for two Academy awards in "Money Ball," one of them for best actor. "Tree of Life," in which he also stars, is nominated for another three.

Despite the actor's recent success, he's already predicting that he won't be doing as well next year, making a reference to one of his Oscar-nominated films.

"We're so defined by the last success or the last failure that we even start to see ourselves that way," Pitt told Jeremy Kay of the U.K. Guardian.

"You've got these awards and there's going to be one winner and four losers, but the four losers made great films. A subtle point of Moneyball is that we're a string of successes and failures. Odds are I won't have another year like this one for a while," he said.

The actor appeared critical of himself a couple of times. One of Pitt's first breakthrough roles was in Ridley Scott's Thelma and Louise in 1991. "That was the first time I was let into the show," Pitt told Kay. "I remember thinking, 'Oh, that's how I come off.' I felt it could have had more weight."

Pitt also spoke on his on his experience in the late 90s that led to him picking up and the dropping marijuana. "I'd smoked a lot of weed. I was professional at it. I wasn't participating in life. I was smoking myself into a doughnut, a mollusc. I got disgusted with it," Pitt said.

That's when Pitt decided to quit.

"At the end I came to the very simple conclusion that I wanted to make things and be a part of stories that were personal and that I could bring value to and if I got this opportunity, to contribute something to the zeitgeist of film-making," said the actor candidly.

Now, of course, Pitt is married to Angelina Jolie and has six children. Though Pitt has accomplished a lot as an actor, he may still have a ways to go being a father.
