Brad Pitt has been sighted in Beverly Hills wearing an all black jumpsuit and using a metal cane for support. The exact cause of the injury has not been revealed, however, a source reported to Just Jared, that he has torn his MCL.

The MCL is one of four ligaments in the knee.

The most common causes of the injury are due to skiing or football, and it typically takes anywhere from 2-10 weeks to heel.

Despite the injury, Pitt is still expected to attend the 69th Annual Golden Globes on January 15. He has been nominated Best Actor for his performance in the motion picture drama, “Tree of Life”.

Brad Pitt, who began his acting career with television guest appearances, just released his latest film “World War Z” in December. The film, directed by Marc Forster, is a post-apocalyptic horror film based on the novel “World War Z” by Max Brooks.

The actor, who was previously Christian, said in 2007 that he no longer believed in an afterlife. "There's peace in understanding that I have only one life, here and now, and I'm responsible," he told Parade magazine.

He also reported to the Daily News in 2009 that he was "probably 20 percent atheist and 80 percent agnostic."

Pitt was officially announced to be in a relationship with Angelina Jolie in 2005, after it was reported that she was with child. The couple however will not marry, according to Esquire, until everyone in America is able to legally marry as well.
