"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Brandi Glanville recently opened up about the financial struggles that she faced shortly after her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian left her for LeAnn Rimes.

Cibrian, 39, admitted to having an affair with Rimes, 30, while the pair was still married to other people. He eventually married Rimes, which Glanville, 38, says is a situation that left her in financial jeopardy.

"I was a 36-year-old woman who couldn't lease a car and couldn't lease a house! For 13 years, my name wasn't on one account. I am still building my credit," Glanville told The New York Post.

"We were living way above our means in a 10,000-square-foot house. There wasn't a lot to get [in the divorce settlement] honestly," she explained.

The Bravo TV reality star shares joint custody of sons Jake, 5, and Mason, 9 with Cibrian, but despite being left with very little, as she claims, the former actor allegedly refused to help them find a home. Glanville was eventually forced to turn to family.

"I had to pay the whole year in advance," she said regarding her rented single-story San Fernando Valley home. "I had to get my daddy to co-sign."

Rimes, who is currently suing a group of Glanville's Twitter supporters over alleged bullying, has been embroiled in a bitter feud with the mother of two since the cheating scandal occurred.

In May, it was revealed that the Bravo TV network had offered Glanville an opportunity to become a full-time housewife, although Rimes reportedly blocked the deal. The position likely would have helped Glanville further ease her financial woes.

"Bravo wanted [Brandi] to have her kids on the show in order to expand story lines. But LeAnn and Eddie wouldn't allow it," a source reportedly told RadarOnline.com.

The situation has undoubtedly added tension to Glanville's already strained relationship with Rimes, and the reality star blasted Cibrian as "hypocritical" for not allowing her to have their sons on the popular reality TV show.

"The kids are not on the show this year but my lawyer is working on it," Glanville said. [Cibrian] does red carpets and all these paparazzi shoots with them. It is the same difference."
