'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Excitement Mounts; Midnight Screening Tonight

The anticipation for the last installment to the "Twilight" series has come to a head Thursday as fans clamor for the premiere of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

Midnight screenings of the film are being offered in cities across the globe and it is already smashing box office records overseas, according to E! News.

"The Twilight Saga" includes a total of five films based on the books by Stephenie Meyer. Ahead of the upcoming release of the last installment film, the series has grossed over $2 billion worldwide.

On Friday, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" will hit theaters across the world and is expected to rake in astronomical earnings at the box office.

Meanwhile, the film's stars including Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner have been attending premiere celebrations from Los Angeles to London recently, in addition to several promotional appearances and interviews.

On Wednesday, the three aforementioned superstars appeared at London's Leicester Square to promote the film.

It was revealed that Stewart's character Bella Swan becomes a vampire in the last installment to the series.

"The whole vampire thing - I wasn't excited to be white and all that," Stewart, 22, explained to MTV News of her character in "Breaking Dawn 2."

"I was really more excited to finally get her there because she wants it so bad," the actress added.

Talk of "Breaking Dawn 2" flooded social media sites on Thursday with posts about fan's growing excitement for the film.

"Got my ticket for the Breaking Dawn premier tonight," wrote Caroline via Twitter. "I'm so excited to could die!!!!!"

Bethany posted, "OH MY GOODNESS, Breaking Dawn Part 2 RELEASE TONIGHT!"

"For my 18th birthday, I'm seeing Breaking Dawn at midnight," wrote Morgan.

Ada asked, "To see Breaking Dawn part two tonight or just wait till tomorrow where it's a possibility of it being less crowded."

"Less than 13 hours until Breaking Dawn," Lauren wrote.
