Britney Spears Rumor: Justin Timberlake Dumps Ex's Invitation for a Collaboration

There is bad news to the still loyal fans of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Timberlake has reportedly turned down Spears' invitation to collaborate for a project for reasons still unknown.

According to a source of Life and Style, Spears is allegedly bent on working with her ex-beau Timberlake after hearing his latest single "Can't Stop the Feeling." Spears, a mother of two, is said to be crazy about Timberlake's song and has been playing it non-stop.

The sources added that Spears has been dancing to her ex's single along with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. With her undeniable love for Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling," Spears, who is currently working on an album, sent a feeler to Timberlake's camp to let him know of her intent for a possible collaboration. Unfortunately, Timberlake allegedly showed no interest and dumped the invitation.

The sources also revealed that Spears reached out to Timberlake's camp against her dad's will. Reportedly, the Spears patriarch is busy headhunting for a possible partner for his daughter, but the singer is said to be not interested and is currently having a very difficult moment in her life. Furthermore, the sources claim that Spears wishes she had met Timberlake at this point in her life. After all, the singer has been supposedly vocal in expressing that the former N'Sync member was the love of her life.

If what the sources have revealed are correct, perhaps Spears can content herself listening over and over again to Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling." After all, the song is Timberlake's first Billboard top-notcher after almost 10 years.

The song is a soundtrack for the movie "Trolls," which features the voices of Timberlake and Anna Kendrick for the lead characters. Rolling Stone opines that the song is a fusion of the old and modern stuff that people love.
