Brooke Burke-Charvet on New 'DWTS' Co-Host Erin Andrews: 'I'm Not Sure They Made the Right Choice'

Brooke Burke-Charvet voiced an unflattering opinion of her replacement on "Dancing With The Stars" Erin Andrews this week.

The 42-year-old model questioned ABC's decision to fire her weeks before the 18th season of "DWTS" earlier this year when they replaced her with Andrews.

"I'm not sure they made the right choice. I won't get into that," Burke-Charvet told E! News.

Shortly thereafter, Burke-Charvet augmented her statement, reiterating that she had "no hard feelings" and thanking her loyal and supportive fans.

"I wish them all huge success, but I think I did everything I could do in the ballroom and I think it was a good time to move on," she said.

Burke-Charvet was famously fired after nine seasons with "DWTS" without any knowledge that the "shocking elimination" was coming.

"Weird day… Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS… ME," the model/television personality posted to Twitter on Feb. 21. "@Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season."

Although she will not be returning to ABC's hit show in its 18th season next month, Burke-Charvet remained positive and made a graceful exit.

"Thank for all the love & support," she added on Twitter on Feb. 22. "I loved my time in the ballroom & I'll love my next chapter too. Change is positive. Love you guys!"

Andrews' debut as co-host on "DWTS" has been met with acclaim; with many reasoning that the 36-year-old telecaster is a natural and energetic addition to the hit reality series. Despite Burke-Charvet's recent sharp comment, Andrews spoke highly of her predecessor ahead of season 18.

"I don't blame the audience at all," said the 35-year-old sportscaster of Burke-Charvet's fans at the time of the firing. "I know that I have huge shoes to fill. I'm a fan of Brooke. She was very wonderful toward me in my season. I can only hope I can emulate somebody like that and use her for guidance."
