They beat the Charlotte Hornets on the road before upsetting the Cleveland Cavaliers in their three-game home stand.

In the 106-98 win over the Cavs, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez each scored 20 points, with the former draining three three-pointers in the game. Lopez added nine rebounds in 38 minutes on the court. Bojan Bogdanovic also contributed from the bench, as he scored 18 points and went 7-of-12 from the field.

Next, Brooklyn beat the lowly Los Angeles Lakers, with Lopez exploding for 30 points while Deron Williams added 13 and dished out nine assists.

Meanwhile, the Pacers were once seen as a team who would secure the eighth spot but their recent form suggested it was a premature thought.

They have only won two of their last nine matches and worse, have lost to teams they were competing with in the East.

However, they got an important 104-99 win over the Dallas Mavericks at home, with C.J. Miles leading the way with 28 points. He went 5-of-6 from the three point area and finished with a 75 percent conversion rate from the field. Roy Hibbert added 14 points and seven rebounds as the Pacers held the Mavs to only 44 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc.
