Bruce Jenner Transition News: Former Olympian Wants to Be Called Caitlyn After Surgery
Bruce Jenner, the former Olympian, has gone public as a transgender woman and now wants to be known as Caitlyn. He who announced last month that he was undergoing a transition, and a public debut on the upcoming July issue of "Vanity Fair."
According to a report in E! Online, well-known photographer Annie Leibovitz did the photoshoot for the magazine.
Jenner also created a new Twitter account on Monday, which according to a report in Reuters, broke the record by garnering a million followers in just four hours.

"I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn," Jenner wrote from the account @Caitlyn_Jenner.
Jenner, prior to his transition, was part of the reality TV show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," featuring the lives of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings and their mother, and his ex-wife, Kris Jenner. Caitlyn Jenner will also have her own docu-series on the E! Network which will "chronicle her new life as a woman," which will be broadcast in July.
The prominent members of the Kardashian clan have thrown their full support behind Jenner's decision to transition. Kim Kardashian was quoted calling Caitlyn "very, very beautiful" when she saw her for the first time.
Jenner's older children are reported to supportive of the transition as well. However, according to a report in Fox News, not all of them are willing to participate. Despite repeated requests from Jenner and the show's producers, Brandon, Burt, Cassandra and Brody have declined to appear in the series. Brandon cited that this apprehension mainly stems from the fact that the show's producers are the same producers of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," which he called "a circus."
