"My second daughter Lula Rosylea arrived at tea time this week," the proud father posted to Facebook.

The Canadian rock star also explained his daughter's name.

"The name Lula comes from Gene Vincent's 1958 song 'Be-Bop-A-LuLa' and Rosylea is a play on the expression 'a rosie lee' which is cockney rhyming slang in London for 'a cup of tea' and pronounced the same," said the 53-year-old. "She's my cup of tea."

The Grammy Award-winner is well known for penning songs such as "Lonely Nights," "Straight From The Heart," and "This Time," among many others. In addition to being a singer-songwriter, guitarist, bassist, producer, and photographer, Adams also released his book "Exposed" recently- a retrospective book of photography featuring portraits of Amy Winehouse, Mick Jagger, and Michael Jackson, among others.

At age 53, Adams is not the only older celebrity welcoming more children later in life. Steve Martin and his wife Anne reportedly welcomed their first child back in December. The 67-year-old "Father of the Bride" star and his 41-year-old wife kept the baby news quiet though.

"They've had a baby, and how they kept it a secret nobody knows," a source close to Martin and his wife revealed, according to the New York Post.

"Steve's very private," the insider added. "They are thrilled. They worked hard to have the baby."

Also, Alec Baldwin and his new wife Hilaria confirmed on Thursday that they are expecting their first child together. The child will be Baldwin's second; the "30 Rock" star has one daughter, Ireland, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Furthermore, Hollywood seems to be experiencing a baby boom of late with several celebrities expecting children this year. Jessica Simpson, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and Evan Rachel Wood are also pregnant.
