Bungie Closes Down Destiny Loot Cave and Inserts an Easter Egg

"Destiny," Bungie's first person shooter game was patched Tuesday Oct. 14 overnight and a few changes have been made by the game developers, including the shutting down of a loot cave. While the cave is now seemingly empty, Bungie has left a little Easter Egg making the cave seem haunted.

Instead of the loot originally found in the Loot Cave in Skywatch, Bungie has added a bunch of remains with the interaction option to "Disturb the Remains." An eerie message is played out which says, "A million deaths are not enough for Master Rahool."

One other loot cave has been supposedly closed in the patch as well in the rocket yard area. As the loot cave was closed, a new treasure farming spot surfaced which is filled with Fallen enemies. Bungie wrote in its patch notes regarding the closing of the rocket yard loot cave, "The Fallen have also retreated from their hold over the Rocket Yard to discuss a new takeover plan."

Included in the patch is a small fix regarding the game's first major boss in the Vault of Glass, the Templar. Apparently, the encounter is a difficult one and players prefer to cheese it by clustering on a far away platform and then simply sniping. The enemy's attacks can't reach the players and the boss's minions can't trouble the players.

Bungie has decided they will not be allowing this and would want the players to do it the hard way, as it was originally intended.

There's also a small buff to scout rifles and a minor debuff to automatic rifles and shotguns.
