Bungie Working on More Raids for 'Destiny'

In the light of reports on what "Destiny" next expansion pack "House of Wolves" will include, several gaming websites have noted a sad fact that the upcoming downloadable content pack will not include a "raid." To counter this disappointment, Bungie, the game developer behind the popular space shooter game, recently confirmed that they are working on more raids, which will come after the release of "House of Wolves."

Raids are cooperative six player missions introduced in "Destiny," which is a very popular "shared world shooter" game that is set in outer space. These raids are said to be one of the highly praised aspects of the game, according to a report in IGN.

The report is based on a recent visit to the Bungie studio. When asked about rumors that despite reports, a raid will be included in the "House of Wolves" DLC, Bungie officials answered with a definite no. According to the DLC's lead designer, Matt Sammons, "The in-game for House of Wolves consists of Prison of Elders, Trials of Osiris, and that's all. There are Raids being worked on still, but we're not talking about them today."

"We love Raids. Bungie is working on Raids. Raids will come in the future. But with the House of Wolves we wanted to focus on what we wanted the endgame to be, and that was the Prison of Elders," Sammons told Eurogamer. "And because it has both this matchmade and the non-matchmade version, we feel like it's addressing our whole audience, all the way from the casual players up to players who love that difficult endgame content."

Raids are considered difficult endgame content. The report said that the Prison of Elders provides a "relatively easy version that supports matchmaking." All kinds of Destiny players will be able to play this mode and enjoy while playing.
