Actress Busy Phillipps announced that she and her husband are expecting their second child using humor on Monday.

The "Cougar Town" star and screenwriter Marc Silverstein have been married since 2007. Their bundle of joy will join 4-year-old big sister Birdie Leigh.

Philipps, 33, announced her pregnancy via Twitter with a photo of her positive pregnancy test.

"So this happened," wrote the actress, adding a picture of a ClearBlue pregnancy test that read "Pregnant."

After fans reacted, Phillipps later added, "Thanks for all the sweet words and warm wishes today! It's been really nice to read them! Birdie is, indeed, super excited to be a big sis."

Her pregnancy is not the only one Philipps is discussing on Twitter. The actress offered her own speculation over the rumors that Jessica Simpson was pregnant via the micro blogging site late last month.

"I just read that Jessica Simpson is pregnant again- is that true," asked the actress on Twitter. "I need confirmation on this, people!"

She later added, "Guys! I didn't know SHE confirmed it! The article said 'a source'!"

Shortly thereafter, People magazine's Moms & Babies Twitter account responded to Philips' inquiry, writing: "@BusyPhilipps25 Jessica hasn't said anything and her rep has no comment."

Philipps then posted, "Well, is it is true, it's amazing. The first six months of my baby's life I basically told my husband never to touch me again ever."

The Hollywood starlet joins many other expecting celebrities this year, including model and actress Camila Alves, "How I Met Your Mother" star Alyson Hannigan, and most recently, British royalty's the Duchess of Cambridge.

The Illinois native is also well known for appearing on the television series "Freaks and Geeks" as well as "Dawson's Creek." Philips' film credits include "The Smokers," "White Chicks," and "He's Just Not That Into You," among others.
