Over a week later on Wednesday, a source close to Phillips revealed the moniker for the infant- Cricket Pearl, according to E! News.

Remaining mum on the details about her daughter, the actress thanked her fans for sending their congratulations.

"Thank you all for the warm wishes for our new little ladybug," the actress wrote to her thousands of Twitter followers. "It's been so sweet to read them all!"

The 34-year-old star and her screenwriter husband are already parents to 4-and-a-half-year-old Birdie Leigh.

Although she has not publicly acknowledged her infant's name, Philipps proceeded to poke fun at her tendency to choose unusual names.

"It's weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names," wrote the starlet. "Guys, my kids will be [in] therapy for LOTS of reasons, I'm sure."

In an earlier post, the actress announced her daughter's arrival much like she initially shared new of her pregnancy.

"So this happened," the actress posted to Twitter along with a photo of herself cradling the baby.

Back in December, the actress posted the same message, but with a photo of a positive pregnancy test.

After fans reacted to her pregnancy news, Phillipps posted, "Thanks for all the sweet words and warm wishes today! It's been really nice to read them! Birdie is, indeed, super excited to be a big sis..."

The actress has been married to Silverstein since 2007.

In addition to her role on "Cougar Town," Philipps is well known for appearing on the television shows "Freaks and Geeks" as well as "Dawson's Creek."

The Illinois native's film credits include "The Smokers," "White Chicks," and "He's Just Not That Into You," among others.
