Cacee Cobb, Jessica Simpson's Children Share Play Date (PHOTO)

Cacee Cobb and Jessica Simpson are passing their friendship down to their children after hosting a play date for the tots this week.

Simpson, who recently married Eric Johnson, has two children; Maxwell, 2, and Ace, 11 months. The fashion mogul has been best friends with Cobb since before her first wedding to Nick Lachey in 2002, despite their lives taking very different paths. Cobb, who married "Scrubs" actor Donald Faison in 2012, shares one son with her husband, 13-month-old Rocco. Because of their longstanding friendship, Cobb and Simpson often get together with their sons, who are close in age.

"Roc and Ace @caceecobb @Donald_faison," Simpson wrote on Instagram along with a photo of the two adorable boys on July 27. The toddlers appeared to be transfixed by a tasseled blanket while playing together in the photo.

It comes as no surprise that the best friends' sons play together. Even while Simpson and Cobb were both pregnant, the pair posed together with their baby bumps side-by-side. The play date photo is not the first time Ace was photographed with Rocco on Simpson's Instagram account. In February, the shoe designer posted a black and white photo of the young boys crawling. Then, three months later, Simpson shared a photo of the babies bonding while taking a bath over the Easter weekend.

Meanwhile, Simpson frequently shares photos of her family, including Ace, Maxwell, and her new husband Johnson. However, the 34-year-old has no plans to expand her family.

"I love you Jack," Simpson wrote on Instagram along with a photo taken with a friend's baby on July 20. "But I do not want another!"

Also, following her estimated $1.4 million wedding to Johnson, Simpson shared snapshots taken from her honeymoon earlier this month.

"I love this man, our marriage, and everything in between," she wrote along with a photo of the newlyweds.
