'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' Reckoning DLC Pack Release Date, Features News: Adds 4 New Maps and Final Exo Zombies Chapter

Activision and Sledgehammer's first-person shooter video game "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" is getting its fourth and last downloadable content pack next week. The DLC pack called "Reckoning" will arrive on Aug. 4, first for the Xbox consoles. The PS4 and the PC versions of the DLC will be released "a few weeks after."

The upcoming DLC pack will be introducing four new maps for multiplayer gameplay to the game. According to PC Gamer, these new maps are called Overload, Quarantine, Fracture and Swarm and they were all created "with the exo-grapple hook in mind."

Overload is an "exotic compound" said to offer "a grand view of downtown New Baghdad." The compound is "complete with fountains, gardens and decorative plasma lamps." Quarantine is situated in an island that was converted into a biological testing center. Fracture is located in an arctic excavation site, while Swarm is located in Seoul, South Korea which is under reconstruction.

The DLC pack also brings with it the final chapter of game's Exo Zombies mode, which brings back the team of Rose McGowan, John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Jon Bernthal and Bruce Campbell who are fighting against hordes of zombies who are equipped with powerful exo-suits. The final chapter entitled "Descent" is where the team will finally find out what the cause of the zombie outbreak is and a secret that Atlas has been keeping all these years.

Based on the DLC's trailer, this secret may have to do with "a massive, mutated zombie monster" that players may need to defeat in the game.

The DLC pack for Xbox consoles costs $14.99. No definite date and price has been given for the PS4 and the PC version of the DLC. As mentioned, this will be the last DLC pack for the game. Gamers however have another "Call of Duty" to look forward to – the "Black Ops III" will be released in November 2015.
