Call of Duty Advanced Warfare News, Update: Zombies DLC Confirmed

A leaked trailer for Activision's "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" seemed to showcase a purported zombie mode in the game. Many that it would be impossible for the Sledgehammer, Activision's newest developer, to integrate such mode in the new game when the game is about to be released.

However, it is now confirmed that the hoard of the undead are indeed coming to the newest first-person shooter game. It won't be coming free, but as an additional downloadable content.

GameStop, who confirmed the news through a press release, said that Zombies will come with the $49.99 DLC Season Pass. This includes five maps from the get-go, additional maps, and the zombie horde mode.

Inquistr meanwhile reported that unlocking the zombies in the retail version of the game would entail a bit of work.

"Players will need to play the Exo-Survival co-op mode until you complete all four difficulty tiers and unlock Riot mode. Once Riot mode is unlocked, you need to complete eleven waves. After the last wave is complete, a 'DNA bomb' will go off and unleash a horde of zombies for the twelfth wave," the site reported.

For those wondering, the zombies in this game won't be just any ordinary "walking dead" ghouls. The leaked footage suggests that these undead creatures will have exo-suits that will enable them to move faster and jump higher.
