'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Awakening DLC: New Trailer Previews Splash Water Park

With the release date of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's" Awakening DLC only about a week away now, Activision is cranking its marketing gear. The publisher continues to tease fans with a new video for one of the expansion pack's maps.

Uploaded on the "Call of Duty" YouTube channel on Monday, the new trailer (below) previews Splash, a map in the upcoming Awakening DLC. True to its name, the multiplayer map will allow players to test their underwater combat skills as it is set in a water theme park, complete with slides, river ride, and a pirate ship.

Here's the full description of the map from Activision:

"Welcome to the perfect summer getaway. Set in an abandoned water theme park, Splash delivers a new aquatic environment to explore in Multiplayer. With vibrantly colored water-slides, a wrecked pirate ship, and a lazy river ride through a fantastical forgotten city, players can expect to take advantage of underwater combat opportunities in this all-new Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Awakening DLC map."

Activision released Splash's preview days after it uploaded a trailer for Skyjacked, which is a revamp of "Black Ops 2's" Hijacked map. Whereas Hijacked took players to the seven seas, Skyjacked takes players to the sky, aboard a futuristic ship flying over Zurich.

Splash and Skyjacked are two of four new multiplayer maps that are part of the "Black Ops 3" Awakening DLC. Rise and Gauntlet complete the pack. Rise takes players to a snow-covered construction zone, while Gauntlet takes players to different environments.

In addition to these four maps, the Awakening DLC also includes a bonus in the form of a new chapter that continues the game's zombie saga. Titled "Der Eisendrache," the story starts from where The Giant ended.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's" Awakening DLC will be available to Sony's PlayStation 4 console owners on Feb. 2. The expansion pack is expected to hit Microsoft's Xbox One and PC one month later.
